Our History
WorkMax is the brainchild of construction professionals who saw the very visible disconnect between owners and their mobile workforce. The creators recognized the need for a system that induced cohesion and fostered communication within a construction company. This became the driving force behind our founding in 2003.
We first offered an innovative mobile time tracking app to bridge the gap between the office and the site — giving executives an inside look at what was happening at their jobs.
But we wanted to go beyond just workforce management and really provide an all-encompassing product that gave users access to essential insights in real-time. That’s why we expanded our offerings and became the WorkMax we’re now known for — a comprehensive web-based platform designed to delve deeper into project cost analysis.
In 2023, we experienced one of our greatest shifts yet — we were acquired by the #1 provider of construction solutions, Foundation Software. Foundation’s proven industry expertise combined with our mobile solution has allowed us to offer customers a powerful tech stack that gives them complete control over their entire project lifecycle.
Today, more than one million contractors trust WorkMax to track their labor hours, equipment data and project progress. Even with two decades under our belt, our mission remains the same — to give contractors the tools they need to manage their most crucial resources effectively.
